If I Choose Houston EB5 Should I Move to Texas?

When inquiring about the EB-5 program, several questions may arise about location and requirements. Houston EB5 is a Texas-based regional center, but investors do not need to live in Texas to receive this type of green card. Regardless of where you choose to live within the United States, Houston EB5 can help you gain your visa.

Requirements for EB-5 Visas

To qualify for an EB-5 visa, it is required to provide funds of $1,050,000 to invest in an approved project. If you choose to invest in a rural area or an area with high unemployment (TEAs, or Targeted Employment Areas), the amount of the investment required is reduced to $800,000.

You must be able to prove documentation of where you received your funds. They can be from income, investments, inheritance, a gift, a loan, or other legal sources.

Complete the investor questionnaire and provide supporting documentation to get started. Once accepted, an immigration attorney will need to file an I-526E petition on your behalf to be approved for a conditional green card.

Where You Are Required To Live

Once you receive your conditional green card, you will have 180 days to enter the United States. You must reside in the United States at least six months out of the year. An EB-5 visa allows you to travel for work and visits, but the United States must be your primary residence.

You can live anywhere in the United States with this visa. EB-5 visas allow you and your family to work or go to school like any other resident of the country. There are no restrictions on where you can live when pursuing an EB-5 green card.

Why Choose Houston EB5 for Your Visa

Houston EB5 offers projects for you to invest in that meet the requirements of the EB-5 program. There is no requirement to be involved in the project at all beyond your initial investment. This means you won’t need to manage the day-to-day operations of the project.

To help keep your investment protected, Houston EB5 only chooses projects the company invests its own money in. We manage these projects and provide reports as needed. Many other regional centers act as middlemen for these projects rather than investing their own money. This can increase the risk for investors and may result in lower returns and loss of investment.

As the principal owner of each of the projects, Houston EB5 is heavily invested in their success. Our goal is to help you achieve your immigration goals while getting a healthy return on your investment.
