Developer seeks to make up for ‘Where?’ with ‘Wow’

Planned along Allen Parkway with unobstructed views of the downtown skyline, the condominiums in the The Allen will be a 34-story hotel and residential tower. Developer Roberto Contreras is doing everything he can to make sure people who walk into the building are appropriately wowed by offering its residents access to lavish hotel amenities, including housekeeping and room service.

Filling in San Antonio’s skyline: An update on 10 major downtown construction projects

A slate of luxury apartment towers, state-of-the-art headquarters and hotels under construction promise to fill in the downtown San Antonio skyline — but residents may have to wait a while longer to see the results. Construction on The Arts Residences at the Thompson San Antonio — a $116 million high-rise at 123 Lexington Ave. — is expected to wrap in early 2020. The tower will have 63 luxury condominiums and 162 premium hotel rooms.

The Arts Residences at the Thompson Hotel goes Vertical

It’s been nearly 10 months since The Arts Residences at the Thompson Hotel broke ground, and on Friday, much of the development and leasing team took their first hard hat tour of the site, with the Business Journal tagging closely behind. The $116 million, 20-floor, 337,000-square-foot, mixed-use hotel and for-sale condo development is along the River Walk at the corner of St. Mary’s Street and Lexington Avenue, across from El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel.

Thompson San Antonio and The Arts Residences Celebrate Groundbreaking

The groundbreaking ceremony of Thompson San Antonio and The Arts Residences took place on Tuesday, at the project site in San Antonio. Thompson San Antonio and The Arts Residences will be a mixed-use development featuring a high-rise tower and hotel with 162 guest rooms and 58 residences with luxury amenities. The groundbreaking began with the ceremony of shovels, followed by keynote speakers, including the developer, Roberto Contreras CEO of DC Partners; Acho Azuike, COO and Managing Director of DC Partners; Leland Rocchio, President of Jordan Foster’s Commercial Construction Group, the general contractor, among others.

Sneak Peek Sleek Hotel and Condo Building to be Built in Downtown San Antonio

A groundbreaking ceremony is planned for next week to begin construction on a new high-rise that will include dozens of residences and more than 150 hotel rooms. The Arts Residences and Thompson San Antonio will be built at the corner of North St. Mary’s Street and Lexington Avenue, along the River Walk and across from the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.

Groundbreaking Set for the Arts Residences in San Antonio and the Thompson Hotel

San Antonio will soon add more downtown, luxury homes when The Arts Residences and The Thompson Hotel are completed. The next step toward that, the groundbreaking on the mixed-used development, is set for Jan. 30, with an aim toward a 2019 completion date, according to a news release.
