Roberto Contreras IV
Managing Director
Roberto Contreras IV is the Managing Director of Houston EB5, where he oversees all aspects of the firm’s operations, including capital formation, investor relations, and global market expansion. With over a decade of experience in real estate development and EB-5 investment, Roberto works closely with leading experts in securities law, immigration, and economic analysis to deliver a transparent, disciplined, and predictable investment process for clients.
Under his leadership, Houston EB5 has continued to expand its global presence and strengthen its track record across a diverse portfolio of mixed-use and hospitality developments. Roberto plays a key role in structuring new offerings and communicating investment opportunities to international investors, ensuring alignment between project execution and EB-5 program requirements.
Previously, Roberto served as Director of New Markets, where he spent five years in East Asia establishing Houston EB5’s offices and managing strategic partnerships in China and the Philippines. During this time, he oversaw more than $80 million in EB-5 and institutional investment into Houston EB5-sponsored projects and developed a deep understanding of the unique needs of global investors.
Prior to joining Houston EB5, Roberto served as Director of the George H.W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations, where he coordinated high-level dialogue between American and Chinese leaders.
Roberto holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Swarthmore College and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese. He serves as Chairman of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and sits on the boards of IIUSA and the Texas Asia Society.
