On September 11, Houston EB5 announced a unique collaboration with McAllen EB-5 Regional Center, in which the McAllen’s EB-5 Regional Center and Houston EB5 will co-market the EB-5 program to potential foreign investors in the South Texas market.
“This partnership is a win-win-win for not only McAllen and Houston, but also, the United States as we will all reap the benefit of foreign investor connections that will continue to grow and shape our economies,” said McAllen’s EB-5 Regional Center President Roel “Roy” Rodriguez, P.E.
“Houston EB5 is excited to collaborate with the McAllen EB-5 Regional Center in promoting the most iconic EB-5 project in Texas, The Allen,” said Emilio Guzmán, Executive Vice President and Chief Investor Relations. “This new collaboration with the McAllen EB-5 Regional Center will create a great forum for Houston EB5 to connect with potential investors seeking permanent residency in the U.S.A. through the EB-5 program, hence giving the opportunity to many families to achieve their American dream.”
The McAllen EB-5 Regional Center is often contacted by foreign investors, particularly Mexican citizens, wanting to participate in this great federal program with a proven path to citizenship. According to McAllen Mayor Jim Darling, this collaboration is important because of the strong ties Mexican citizens have to McAllen.
“This collaboration serves Mexican citizens wanting opportunities to invest in our community, a location and place that they know and trust, while gaining citizenship, to see other investment opportunities,” added Mayor Darling.
The employment-based fifth preference category visa program, or EB-5 as it is now known, was created by Congress in 1990 to foster economic development through foreign investment creating jobs for U.S. workers and infusing new capital into the U.S. economy. This federal immigration program allows qualified foreign investors to gain permanent residency for themselves and their families through investing in a regional center in the United States. The program is an excellent opportunity for foreign investors seeking to live, work or retire anywhere in the United States.
With about three months before the new EB-5 regulations kick in, prospective EB5 investors will have to expedite their investments.
From November 21st, 2019, foreign investors looking to gain permanent residency will need to shell out a minimum of $900,000 to qualify for the EB 5 visa. This is almost a 100 percent increase from $500,000, which was set earlier by the government in the 1990s.
If you want to save $400,000, we recommend you file your EB 5 petition as soon as possible.
